The State

The Reformed Presbyterian Church rejects the idea that the state, or government of a country, can be neutral. Either it bases its laws on God’s word, or it is sinful. The Lord Jesus Christ is ruler over kings on earth (Revelation 1:5). Earthly rulers are commanded to ‘kiss the Son’ (Psalm 2:12) – to submit to Christ.

Therefore members of the Reformed Presbyterian Church do not vote for any political candidate who does not promise to base all their policies on the Bible, make an explicit declaration of dissent from everything within their sphere of government which is contrary to the Word of God, pledge themselves to work for public and national recognition of Christ and refuse to take any oaths of allegiance to any King or Queen as supreme over all things.
